Mount Nittany Physician Group Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery is now offering Jeuveau, a non-surgical treatment for frown lines and wrinkles.
What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau, is a prescription medication that is injected to smooth the look of frown lines between the eyebrows. It is injected directly into the muscles, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and temporarily prevents the contraction of muscles that cause frown lines. It is FDA-approved and is comparable to other injectable treatment such as Botox® and Dysport®. The procedure typically takes around 15 minutes and there is no downtime for recovery.
How soon will I see results?
The results of the injection will begin to appear within five to seven days, and the effect will last up to three or four months. After that, treated muscles will begin to regain movement, but a quick repeat treatment makes it simple to sustain the look you want.
