Complements Beat the heat: Four steps to keep your skin clear during summer months

07/31/18

Summer is in full swing which means beach vacations, pool parties, picnics and tons of outside activities. All the heat and humidity can leave you dealing with extra shine and oil and breakouts. Try these four tips to help your skin breathe during the summer:

Wash your face daily. Ideally, wash your face with a facial cleanser twice a day – once in the morning and once before bed.

Exfoliate. Exfoliating really is a girl’s best friend. Once or twice a week, exfoliate to clear dead skin cells and unclog pores. This will help control oily skin and fight break outs.

Try a skin mask. A great weekly treatment for these summer months is a black clay mask to deep cleanse the skin, ridding it of impurities and excess sebum. One of my favorites is Revision Skincare® Black Mask. It can be used on all skin types and leaves the skin looking polished and smooth.

Don’t forget to moisturize. Yes, you need to use moisturizer in the summer. Use a light, water-based moisturizer that doesn’t clog pores.
