Complements Skin care 101: Back to school skin care tips

08/31/17

Whether you’re headed to class or getting your kids on their way to school, chances are you have less time in the mornings now that school is back in session. So, how can you stay on top of your skin care regime with limited time? Here are the two skin care steps you need in your morning routine:

  1. Cleanse. Do this according to your skin type. Those with acne should use acne wash, while all others can cleanse with a product that also exfoliates. A product with alpha-hydroxy acids can cleanse and remove dead skin cells at the same time.
  2. Moisturize. Again, you should choose products that work best for your skin type. No matter your skin type, I recommend choosing a moisturizer that also protects your skin. Moisturizers with sunscreen are easy to find these days. Look for one that has a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 30 or higher. For aging skin, I recommend using a moisturizer with anti-aging antioxidant key ingredients in addition to sunscreen.
