Complements A message from Dr. Emily Peterson
03/25/20
I want to take a moment to let you, our valued patients, know how Mount Nittany Health is prepared to take care of our employees, patients and community during this unprecedented time.
- First, and most importantly, we are encouraging everyone to stay home. Staying home can save lives and is an easy way for everyone to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
- This week, Mount Nittany Health began screening all employees, providers, patients and others accessing Mount Nittany Health facilities.
- We are calling and rescheduling patients with non-essential/elective services that are scheduled at Mount Nittany Medical Center and Mount Nittany Physician Group between now and April 30. Please note that this applies to elective services only. Current operations will continue for individuals who require emergency and acute services and are in active treatment at both the Medical Center and Physician Group practices. We will contact you if there is a need to reschedule.
- Temporary visitor restrictions are in place until further notice to limit the amount of people in our facilities.
Mount Nittany Health continues to respond as the situation changes. The safety of our patients, staff and community remains our highest priority. To learn more about how to stay protected and how Mount Nittany Health is preparing and responding to COVID-19, visit mountnittany.org/coronavirus.
